The peptide market attracts bold marketing claims, unclear sourcing practices, and documentation gaps that can undermine months of experimental work. This guide walks you through the research peptide red flags to watch for—and what legitimate supplier transparency actually looks like.
Red Flag #1: Vague Claims About Purity and Unsubstantiated Certifications
Many suppliers advertise peptides as "research-grade," "high purity," or with certifications they do not hold without backing them up. This is a warning sign.
Here's why: purity is a measured property, not a marketing descriptor. It can only be determined through analytical testing. A legitimate supplier should be transparent about whether they have tested a batch and what method was used. Red Flag #5: Testimonials, Review Counts, and Unverified Claims
If a supplier displays customer testimonials, five-star ratings, or case studies without independent verification, treat these with skepticism.
